The state website has local library locations and story times. There aren't many for our area but here is the link:

In the lower level of the library they have a great Childrens area with a train track, comfortable chairs and space to spread out and read. The library was offering story time outside during the warmer months. You can find all of the times on their website (it does change monthly). You can also subscribe to their newsletter ("Youth Room Buzz"). Classes are broken down by age: Newborn, 2-3, 3+ and siblings welcome. Registration is required for most.
There is no registration required for the story times at Reading Library, but space is limited. For information about their class times and ages. It's generally Tues & Thurs AM.
Open to all and held both inside and out, there are usually story times available to all without registration.

This beautiful new library just re-opened!
Labsit story time is typically Tues and Thurs morning for the 0-24month age group which is followed up by a playgroup if anyone wants to stay. Ages 3+ are on Wednesday mornings.

Winchester offers parents (or caregivers) a variety of classes for all ages (It's Bitsy: of infants a 30 minute session of songs, rhymes and story), Pattycake Place (2+ is rhymes, songs and stories then free play) and Step Into Story ( Ages 3+ will read, sing, laugh and craft at this program geared specifically for children ready to attend school).
Shake, Rattle and Read: 2 -3yo musical storytime! make music with some fun instruments, and read some rockin' good books too!
Registration is not required but high attendance is expected. Events change monthly. Some weeks registration is required for specific events:
The Junior Room offers a variety of weekly, monthly, and special programs for kids from birth – 8th grade including: Fables and Fun , Mondays at 3:30pm For ages 5+, Babytime on Wednesdays at 9:30,Storytime with Miss Rachel on select Thursdays at 10:30, Coloring with Caregivers on select Thursdays at 11:00am and Baby Bumble on Fridays at 9:30am.
Malden has a few "Special Guest" storytimes including a visit from a Firefighter, and the Mayor. On nice days they also have a monthly StoryWalk®, an innovative way for children to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll along the walkway, you’re directed to the next page in the story.

Youth:
The Children’s Room encourages parents and caretakers to visit the library often to take full advantage of all of our services and programs. Join in for weekly stories, songs, and a simple craft. Best for ages 3-6. Siblings are welcome.SPANISH FUN PROGRAM, PJ Storytimers: we have a special treat this week! Dance, move, sing and groove with Sound Play Music! Sound Play is an award-winning, action-packed, joy-filled music and movement class for children from newborn through age six and their grown-ups.
The Library offers a variety of programs and events for kids at all three of our locations.
Storytimes usually follow the schedule below, but sometimes there are exceptions. Be sure to check our online calendar of events for the latest information.
Central Library: Storytime for 3 to 5 year olds: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Storytime for 2 year olds: Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
East Branch: Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
West Branch: Preschool Storytime: Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.

The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. Programs start promptly and unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting.

North Reading: The New England School of Performing Arts is bringing back "Storytime Theatre" Storytime is an imaginative retelling of classic fairy tales for children 2-6. They incorporate interactive, live theatre with lots of improv, and music.Registration and information can be found on their site or IG page.

Appleton Farm's (Ipswich) Farmstead Story Time: Barnyard stories really come to life when you get to see the main characters in person! Bring the kids down to Appleton Farms for our farm fresh version of story time. Explore the farmstead, visit our learning garden, see our cows and rabbits, and find a spot to play under a shady tree in our stone paddock.
